Garlic Cheddar Kugel
Ingredients
- 1 pound wide egg noodles (450 grams)
- 10 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon butter (15 ml)
- 1 pound extra sharp cheddar cheese, grated (450 grams)
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups sour cream (475 ml)
Utensils
- 2 quart sauce pan (2 liters)
- 9" x 13" glass baking dish (22.5 cm by 33 cm)
- large mixing bowl
- garlic press
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Boil noodles in saucepan according to packing insturctions.
- While boiling, mince garlic.
- Mix about one clove of minced garlic with butter, then use this mixture
to grease the bottom and sides of the baking dish.
- Place the remaining garlic, grated cheese, beaten eggs, and sour cream in the mixing bowl.
- Drain noodles and add to cheese mixture.
- Mix well and pour into baking dish - bake at 350°F (180°C) for 1 hour.
- Serves 6 as a main dish.
